Student Club Los Estudiantes Despues Selected for National United We Dream Leadership Convening in Chicago

Members of Idaho State University's student organization Los Estudiantes Después (LED) have been invited to a national leadership convening hosted by United We Dream (UWD), the nation's largest immigrant youth-led network. Ten ISU students and alumni will travel to the Chicago area from September 10-13 for intensive grassroots organizer training, panel discussions, and movement-building workshops. UWD is fully funding the contingent's travel, lodging, and expenses, recognizing LED's impactful work on campus and in the local community.

LED is dedicated to educating the ISU campus about current political issues, uplifting student voices, celebrating Hispanic culture, and creating civic engagement opportunities. The organization's mission directly aligns with UWD's commitment to youth leadership, intersectional advocacy, and empowering communities directly impacted by the immigrant experience to lead local change.

During the four-day event, participants will undergo national training designed to sharpen leadership skills, enhance community organizing efforts, and develop strategies for local advocacy. Notably, LED leaders Jennifer Vidales and Isaac Brambila have been selected to serve as featured panelists during the convening.

"This opportunity allows our students to bring the lived experiences of Idaho's youth to a national stage," said ISU student Isaac Brambila. "We are returning to ISU equipped with expanded skills, national connections, and renewed energy to foster student engagement and positive change on our campus."
