Seeking Volunteers for the ISU / United Way Workplace Giving Campaign Committee

August 31, 2026

The university is launching this year’s ISU/United Way Workplace Giving Campaign, and we’re building a volunteer committee of faculty and staff who want to strengthen our community, support local families, and help drive meaningful change across our region.

United Way partners with organizations throughout our area to improve education, financial stability, and health outcomes. Our campus campaign raises awareness, encourages payroll giving, and hosts engaging events that bring people together for a shared purpose.

None of that happens without committed volunteers — and that’s where you come in.

  • We’re looking for faculty and staff who:
  • Believe in community impact and collective action
  • Enjoy planning events, outreach, or creative engagement
  • Want to help increase participation and awareness across campus
  • Can contribute a small amount of time between September and November

Committee members will help shape campaign activities, coordinate communication, and champion United Way’s mission within their departments. It’s a chance to connect with colleagues, support local families, and make a tangible difference. If you’re interested in joining the committee or would like more information, please reach out to Tracy Collum at tracycollum@isu.edu.

Let’s come together to support our community and show what our university can accomplish when we unite for good.
