Political Science Professor Wins Book Award

Edward Kammerer, associate professor in political science, along with his co-editors RG Cravens and Erin Mayo-Adam, were recognized with the American Political Science Association Education Section's Best New Science of Teaching & Learning Book for books published in 2025. The book, Teaching LGBTQ Politics (SUNY Press 2025), is the first book focused on helping faculty teach this important subject. The book consists of 17 chapters spanning the entire field of political science and offering faculty concrete advice to develop and improve their courses. The award was presented at the 2026 Meeting of the American Political Science Association on September 6.
