Kody Ralphs: October CPI of the Month

October 5, 2026

Kody Ralphs

Kody Ralphs, a junior studying Civil Engineering, has been selected as the October CPI Intern of the Month.

A Pocatello native, Ralphs has gained valuable hands-on experience through his internship with CONNECT Engineering. His primary responsibilities have included drafting and reviewing project documentation and deliverables, giving him an opportunity to apply what he has learned in the classroom while gaining a deeper understanding of the complexities of a career in engineering. Ralphs says one of the highlights of his internship has been connecting with professionals in his field and learning more about the problem-solving involved in engineering. Through the experience, he has also strengthened his communication skills and become more responsible, accountable, and professional in his work with clients and management.

Ralph’s supervisor, Josh Ball, an engineer at CONNECT Engineering, praised the initiative and enthusiasm Ralphs has brought to the firm.

“Throughout his internship, he has shown incredible drive and willingness to try, learn, and improve. He has jumped at every opportunity to assist in all aspects of our firm. He has progressed quickly in his skill set and has become an asset to this company.”

Ralphs’ experience has already led to an additional professional opportunity: he is now continuing to work part-time with CONNECT Engineering. Kody plans to graduate in December 2027 and hopes to continue his career with the company while pursuing his Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification and, eventually, Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
