Idaho National Laboratory Career Day Comes to Campus October 29
October 15, 2026
Students across all majors and degree levels can connect directly with Idaho National Laboratory hiring managers, researchers, and ISU alumni at INL Career Day on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in the Salmon River Suites. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and students are welcome to drop in anytime throughout the day as their schedules allow. Lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be provided.
This event offers direct access to leaders from one of the country's top national laboratories. During the session, attendees can connect in person with INL hiring teams and successful ISU alumni while exploring paid undergraduate and graduate internship opportunities alongside seasoned scientists and engineers. Students will also learn about current research challenge topics across energy and security initiatives and receive targeted feedback to strengthen their resumes and overall job search strategy.
INL Career Day is backed by the Strategic Understanding for Premier Education and Research (SUPER) agreement between ISU and INL. This partnership expands joint research initiatives, visiting scholar programs, and technical symposia, while supporting ongoing developments in nuclear energy, high performance computing, and cybersecurity. As one of 17 U.S. Department of Energy national laboratories, INL employs more than 6,400 staff members dedicated to solving critical challenges in nuclear research, energy systems, and national security infrastructure.
Students are encouraged to stop by the Salmon River Suites on October 29 to explore internship possibilities and build their professional networks.
