Faculty Lecture Series: One Thing Everyone Should Know About Economics: Elasticity

Presenter: Dr. Karl Geisler, Economics and Finance

Description: As a decision science, economics studies an enormous number of topics ranging from Gross Domestic Product on down to individual consumer behavior. Behind the scenes, however, a little-known concept makes big contributions. Elasticity - an economic measure of sensitivity - influences outcomes as varied as profitability, availability, and even the amount of revenue generated by a tax. Join us as we bring this all-too-overlooked engine of economics the acknowledgement and recognition it deserves. [Add to Calendar]

Date/Location: Friday, October 2, noon – 1pm; Heritage, SUB (from Bengal Theater go to hallway, turn right, first room on your right) and via Zoom
