ITRC Workshop: Faster Fixes, Smarter Judgment: UDOIT, AI, and Where the Line Is
Presenter: Dr. Lisa Kidder, Instructional Technology Resource Center

Faculty Lecture Series: Drag Queens and Political Activism: A Historical Expression
Presenter: Dr. Ed Kammerer, Political Science
Date/Location: Friday, October 9, noon – 1pm; Clearwater Room, SUB, and via Zoom
Description: Drag has long functioned as both an artistic form and a mode of social commentary, often inviting audiences to reflect on the ways gender is expressed, performed, and understood. Drag performers have also played visible roles in political and civic life, from running for office and encouraging voter participation to fundraising and community advocacy. In recent years, drag has become the focus of increased political debate and legislative attention, giving renewed significance to this history of activism. This talk explores key moments and figures in that history, including José Sarria, Joan Jett Blakk, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and others. [Add to Calendar]
