Raylene Houck’s Retirement Reception

April 24, 2025

Please join us for a retirement reception honoring Raylene Houck, Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4 - 5:30 p.m. in the College of Education lobby.  Refreshments will be provided. 

Houck has been a valued member of ISU since 2017 the College of Education since 2017, serving as an administrative assistant in the Kent Center for Student Success. She has been a dedicated supporter of students, staff, and faculty and is always eager to assist with their academic or personal needs.

Originally from Lewiston,  Houck earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC), and her Secondary Teaching Certificate in English from LCSC as well. She earned her Master of Arts degree in English Language and Learning from Western Governors University. She was a teacher for over 25 years in a variety of venues including public school (grades 7-12), tribal distance education with the Nez Perce Tribe, English as a Second Language (ESL) education with English Language Services, and ESL instruction at ISU. 

Her expertise, positive attitude, and kindness will be greatly missed. We invite you to join us in celebrating her incredible career and wishing her all the best in retirement!
