Campus Emergencies 101
Wednesday, May 21, 11 a.m. - noon
Zoom Link

This is a basic course designed for anyone who is interested in learning about how Idaho State University manages critical incidents. Participants will learn about decision-making processes for critical incidents and campus closure, ISU's critical incident response capabilities, and campus emergency communications. Participants will also learn tips and tricks to help improve their personal safety and how to report suspicious behavior.

Verbal De-escalation
Thursday, May 22, 2 - 4 p.m.
Zoom Link

Verbal de-escalation is a valuable skill to possess because it can help students, faculty, and staff identify, manage, and address conflict. Conflict can arise at any time and by anyone. This training is designed around real-world situations. We will help you learn how to manage a person in crisis, manage somebody causing a disturbance, and know how to act and react to a violent or potentially violent situation.
