January 23, 2025

Festival of Trees committee members from the College of Business present a check for $30,000 to local non-profit Meals on Wheels

The Idaho State University College of Business is proud to announce the fundraising results from the 2024 Festival of Trees.

Thanks to presenting sponsor Lookout Credit Union, as well as all of the other sponsors, donors and event attendees, the College of Business was once again able to increase the donation amount given to all of the benefiting organizations. The Southeastern Idaho Community Action Agency Meals on Wheels Program received $30,000. The School District 25 Education Foundation received $20,000, and Make-a-Wish Idaho received $15,000. Additional funds went towards student scholarships, as well as the Idaho Food Bank, who was the charity of choice from the winners of the Gingerbread Competition.

"All of us in the Idaho State University College of Business are thrilled to use proceeds from this year's Festival of Trees to help support amazing nonprofits in our community, our exceptional School District and ISU business students on our campus,” said College of Business Dean and Michael C. Ruettgers Professor of Marketing Dr. Shane Hunt. “The Festival of Trees is a treasured holiday event that we are honored to host. We are thankful to everyone who attended, sponsored, and volunteered that made these investments in our community possible."
