Food For FInes Returns

April 3, 2025

Looking for a way to clear a parking citation while giving back?

Food for Fines is back from March 31 to April 11, offering eligible individuals a chance to have up to three citations forgiven by donating qualifying items to Benny’s Pantry.

Here’s how it works: Pick up a bingo card at Benny’s Pantry or the parking office, collect the required non-expired items to complete one bingo line, and bring the items to the Parking and Transportation Office on the Pocatello campus or the information desk in Meridian and Idaho Falls. Complete two lines to waive two citations and a blackout to have three citations forgiven.

Each citation must be $35 or less and cannot be used for some violations like fire lanes, disabled parking, and towed vehicles. Additionally, travel-size and single-serve items like ramen and granola bars will not be accepted. Food for Fines is happening across the Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and Meridian campuses. Visit the Parking Office or website for more details, and make a difference while clearing your fines.
