Stacey Gibson Appointed to NCAA Committee

Stacey Gibson, associate vice president for institutional engagement and director of equal opportunity has been appointed to the newly formed NCAA Committee on Access, Opportunity and Impact, representing ISU and the Big Sky Conference for the next two years. Gibson has served on ISU's Athletic Advisory Board for the last 13 years and as the NCAA Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID) since the position was established by the NCAA.

The NCAA formed the association-wide Committee on Access, Opportunity and Impact by consolidating four groups into a single entity aimed at improving efficiency and maximizing impact.

The new committee will focus on creating equitable and inclusive experiences for student-athletes at championships and across college sports, advising on related NCAA policies and supporting increased participation and leadership opportunities for student-athletes from underrepresented communities. The committee began meeting this fall.
