New College of Business Dean Announced

After an extensive national search, and following careful consideration of feedback from faculty and staff, an offer was extended to and accepted by Dr. Sam Beldona to become the next Dean of the College of Business.  

Dr. Beldona received his Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration and Master of Science in International Business at Temple University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science Degree in physics from Karnatak University in India. 

Dr. Beldona is currently serving as Special Advisor to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for Strategic Initiatives at Stonehill College. He has also served as the Dean of the College of Business at the Leo J. Meehan School of Business at Stonehill College, in addition to serving as the Dean at the Kania School of Management at the University of Scranton and the Barowsky School of Business at Dominican University of California. 

“Dr. Beldona is a highly experienced, and dynamic higher education leader,” Provost Adam Bradford said. “We are thrilled to be welcoming him to Idaho State University and are confident he will continue to advance the remarkable progress that our College of Business has experienced over the last several years.” 

Dr. Beldona will begin working at ISU on March 1, 2026.

“I'm excited to join the College of Business at Idaho State University. During my visit, I was impressed by the faculty's commitment to student success, their passion for curriculum innovation, and their focus on scholarly research,” Dr. Beldona said. “The College of Business staff has led numerous student-centered initiatives to help students transition into the world of work. The strategic vision and plans for ISU clearly show that both ISU and the College of Business are well-positioned for growth and ready to tackle the opportunities and challenges AI presents to higher education. I look forward to joining the faculty, staff, and students on this exciting journey at Idaho State University.”
