ISU Names GEM Award Recipients

Three faculty have been named GEM award winners by Idaho State University.

This award celebrates excellence in General Education and recognizes faculty who engage students with innovative teaching practices, help non-majors understand and broadly apply disciplinary methods of inquiry, and implement strategies to increase access and affordability for students.  

All are invited to attend the first General Education (GEM) Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, October 7, at 3pm at the Center for Learning and Instructional Excellence in Rendezvous 129 honoring the faculty winners below. Light refreshments will be served.

  • Randa Kress, Senior Lecturer, Mathematics and Statistics - College of Science and Engineering, Objective #3: Mathematical Ways of Knowing
  • Andrew Bernard, Associate Lecturer, Chemistry - College of Science and Engineering, Objective #5: Scientific Ways of Knowing
  • Tessa Anderson, Assistant Lecturer, Psychology - College of Arts and Letters, Objective #6: Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing
