First-Ever “Roar of Appreciation” Week to Celebrate Faculty and Staff Donors
November 20, 2025

University Advancement and the Idaho State University Foundation are proud to announce the first-ever Roar of Appreciation Week, a new tradition that recognizes and celebrates the faculty and staff who demonstrate their Bengal pride through philanthropy.
From December 1–5, 2025, we will celebrate those whose generosity strengthens the Bengal community and helps open doors for student success. Tuesday, December 2, will be Giving Tuesday, where people across the world will contribute to a host of different causes, making this time of year the perfect time of year to recognize philanthropy.
“Faculty and staff give so much of themselves to this University,” says Vice President for Advancement Stephanie Smith. “When they choose to also give financially, they join a community of supporters who collectively move our mission forward. Their generosity reflects the best of who Bengals are: united in supporting students and lifting others in diverse ways.”
Throughout the week, University Advancement and the ISU Foundation will recognize several faculty and staff donors who stand out for their giving history. Recognition will be given to the staff or faculty member who has:
- Given the most number of gifts during Bengal Giving Day
- Given for the most consecutive years
- Maintained the longest continuous payroll deduction
- Been the top donor to the Roar Scholarship Fund (ISU’s general scholarship)
- Made the most recent faculty or staff donation on Giving Tuesday, December 2. To be considered for this recognition, make your donation up until midnight on Tuesday, December 2.
Each honoree will receive a certificate of appreciation along with donuts for their office, delivered by the University Advancement team during the week.
Thank you to every faculty and staff donor who gives, at every level, helping fuel ISU’s future and expanding what is possible for our students. To learn more about University Advancement and the ISU Foundation, visit isu.edu/advancement.
Faculty and staff who wish to join this tradition of giving can visit isu.edu/give or set up a recurring contribution using the Payroll Deduction Form.
