In a significant show of support for Idaho State University College of Technology's Cosmetology program, the Zonta Club of Pocatello has generously donated $500 to the program's Hair Loft. This vital contribution will greatly enhance the services provided by the Hair Loft, a unique facility dedicated to assisting individuals with medical hair loss.

Elizabeth Tubbs, Senior Clinical Instructor for the cosmetology program, expressed her deep appreciation for the donation, stating, "This donation will make a huge difference in providing wigs. We expect to be able to get around 50 new wigs from this donation. We've already had so many people come and use this service."

The Hair Loft offers a compassionate and supportive environment for those dealing with medical hair loss. For a nominal $10 deposit, community members in need can schedule a one-on-one visit in a private suite at the Hair Loft. This deposit is refunded upon the return of the wig, ensuring accessibility for all who need this service. Clients receive personalized care that includes services like head shaving for those undergoing chemotherapy and careful wig customization to fit each individual's face shape and lifestyle.

Pam Kennedy, president of the Zonta Club of Pocatello, highlighted the importance of this donation: "It’s a wonderful thing for our community to have low cost help for women who need it. We like to support women in our community and this is a great opportunity for us to show our support."

The Hair Loft is more than a program; it is a sanctuary during some of the hardest times in a person's life. This service, unique in southeastern Idaho and Utah, also provides an invaluable educational experience for students in the cosmetology program. Located in Room 267 of the College of Technology Roy F. Christensen Building at 777 Memorial Drive in Pocatello, the Hair Loft is open for appointments. Those interested can book a visit by calling 208-282-2866
