Award-Winning Historian to Present "The Sound of Modern Mormonism"

Jared Farmer, Walter H. Annenberg Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania, will present "The Sound of Modern Mormonism" on Thursday April 11 at 2:30pm as part of the History Spring Lecture Series. This multimedia lecture will be presented via Zoom. Registration is required.

Award-Winning Historian to Present "The Sound of Modern
Mormonism"Farmer has won numerous awards for his writings on the history of Utah and the American West. His four books include On Zion’s Mount: Mormons, Indians, and the American Landscape, winner of the Francis Parkman Prize, and Elderflora: A Modern History of Ancient Trees. His lecture will be a meditation on the relationship between sound, religion and place. The spring lecture series is supported by the College of Arts and Letters.
