Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Set Jan. 15

January 8, 2024

The annual ISU Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration on January 15 will include a march, presentations and a service project.

The march will begin promptly at 1 p.m. at the Pond Student Union and conclude at the ICCU Alumni Center. The meeting point for this year’s march will be the Pond Student Union Building parking lot. Join the Diversity Resource Center, Rendezvous 129, on Friday, Jan. 11, from 2 to 5 p.m. to make signs for the march.

A presentation will follow the march, with speakers addressing these words of Martin Luther King, Jr: “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in healthcare is the most shocking and inhumane.”

Participants may bring donations of food and personal care items for Benny’s Pantry to the gathering point if they would like to do so.
