Volunteers Host More than 1,800 Attendees at Bengal Visit Day

May 8, 2023

A crowd cheers in a room

Bengal Visit Day 2023 was the largest recruitment event held on Idaho State University’s campus, with more than 1,800 attendees.

Bengal Visit Day, ISU’s main spring recruitment event, is designed to capture the attention of potential students interested in finding the college that is right for them and for their aspirations. The open-house style of this year’s event gave students and their families the freedom to explore campus at their own pace and participate in multiple activities throughout the day that interested them the most.

We are proud to announce that we also had our highest ever satisfaction rate on our event follow up survey, with 99% of students being satisfied or very satisfied!

None of this could have been possible without faculty, staff, and current students who volunteered on a Saturday to show potential students what it’s like to be a Bengal. Whether it was talking to students about their future careers, providing information and resources about our numerous student-centric programs, or just a spirited individual that greeted and directed students and their families throughout campus, each and every one of you played an important role in the success of this event.

We received hundreds of positive comments from our students, and the number one theme of those comments was that our students loved interacting with the faculty and staff on campus.

One student said, “The best part of the event was the positive vibes and energy that filled the air of Pocatello’s Idaho State University. As soon as I arrived on campus, I was greeted by friendly staff and current students eager to answer any questions and showcase the university’s vibrant community. The faculty members were also incredibly engaging and enthusiastic, providing detailed information about the university’s academic programs and opportunities. Their passion for teaching and commitment to student success was palpable, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.”
