Summer Job Opportunity: Become an Upward Bound Mentor

March 29, 2023

The TRIO Upward Bound Programs at Idaho State University are looking for Residential and Academic Mentors for the 2023 Summer Academy, which takes place on the Pocatello Idaho State University campus. In this summer program, high school scholars take classes that help with performance in high school subjects or expose them to subjects that are commonly required as general education courses in college. Scholars live in residence halls on ISU’s campus and return home for weekends, with transportation provided to each community. Each evening, scholars participate in a variety of recreational activities on and off campus. Activities and time in the residence halls are supervised by trained UB/UBMS staff.

As an Academic or Residential mentor, you would mentor a group of local high school students through classes and/or group activities. The positions are paid (hourly or stipend), and the job would last seven weeks, from June 12 to June 29, with room and board included. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until all positions are filled. To apply, fill out the UB/UBMS Mentors Summer 2023 Application.
