Junior Firefighter Camp Set June 16 and 17

Idaho State University Continuing Education and Workforce Training will hold its annual Jr. Firefighter Camp June 16-17, 2023. 

In this one- and one-half day camp 13 to 18-year olds have the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a firefighter. From fire hose hookups to basic life-saving techniques, each student will get hands-on experience using the equipment the fire service uses and work with actual firefighters throughout the area. Snacks and water will be provided on both days and lunch will be provided on Saturday. Perfect for any teen interested in working in the fire service! The participant must be able to lift 30 pounds, follow instructions, stay on task, and perform tasks while wearing equipment. Athletic clothes and closed-toe sneakers are required.
