Duo Security Roll Out for Students

IT Services will be rolling Duo Security out to ISU students this fall, inviting a limited number of students at a time, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5.  We should have everyone invited and set up well before the end of the semester.

The day before students are required to start using Duo, they will receive a heads-up email to their ISU email account.  Duo multi-factor authentication will be required for them after that when they log into a secure ISU system, such as Moodle or BengalWeb.

The preferred authentication method is the Duo Mobile app on their smartphone, but we do have alternate authentication methods available. They just need to contact the IT Service Desk to make arrangements.

Students can also opt to sign up for Duo immediately rather than waiting their turn, by scanning this QR code or by contacting the IT Service Desk.

This is the same Duo that we rolled out to faculty and staff last winter, so we are hopeful that you can answer questions and help spread the word to the students you work with.

We have instructions to help them set Duo up, along with more detailed information. We are also happy to answer any questions;  contact the IT Service Desk at 208.282.4357, or at help@isu.edu.
