Dr. Henry Oh Presents at Clinical Scientists National Meeting

Dr. Henry Oh, clinical professor and Department Chair of Health Occupations at the College of Technology, presented at the 143rd National Meeting of the Association of Clinical Scientists (ACS) in Kentucky on May 11-14, 2022.

The meeting was hosted by the University of Louisville Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Oh was among the 44 speakers who presented with his topic on “Respiratory Pathology of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.”

He spoke on how cytokines can amplify the severity and extent of acute respiratory distress syndrome in patients who become seriously infected with COVID-19, and the initial ventilator management of these patients in the ICU. The abstract of his presentation has been published in the Annals of Clinical and Laboratory Science, a peer-reviewed scientific and clinical research journal.

Dr. Oh serves as the editor of the Clinical Science Trumpet, the official newsletter publication of ACS. He is a Fellow of the ACS (FACSc). Fellows are doctoral scientists who are experts in the education of and/or application of laboratory methods for elucidation, diagnosis, and treatment of human diseases.
