Title IX Volunteer Opportunities

December 1, 2022

In order to meet our obligations to our ISU community the Title IX Office is looking to expand the pool of volunteers.

The Title IX Office is looking for individuals who are interested in supporting our efforts to stop, prevent and remedy the effects of gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault. As a volunteer, you will be called upon to assist in providing a thorough, fair, and impartial process for all individuals who may interact with our office for Title IX or sexual misconduct matters. Volunteers should be responsible, highly motivated, detail-oriented, effective communicators with an interest in investigations, policy, compliance, safety, and equity.

The University will provide training and Title IX-related educational opportunities to all volunteers. Some of the volunteer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Investigators are responsible for gathering evidence, conducting interviews, generating reports, and conducting analysis.
  • Advisors serve as a point of contact for involved parties, help them understand the process, and their rights, and conduct cross-examinations at hearings.
  • Hearing Panelists hear evidence, determine relevance, determine responsibility as part of the grievance procedure, and determine sanctions where appropriate.

Join us by filling out this form with your name and interested position. For more information, please contact Ian Parker at ianparker@isu.edu
