Those interested in serving on the commission can expect to spend 1 hour per month attending a monthly team meeting, and an additional 2-4 hours per month supporting projects and initiatives as needed. Members who serve on the Equity and Inclusion commission will:

  • Collaboratively review and evaluate data collected from campus constituents to identify strengths and opportunities to improve equity and inclusion at ISU

  • Assist in the implementation of equity and inclusion initiatives in collaboration with campus partners, and
  • Continually reevaluate and improve equity and inclusion efforts across the university.

This is a university committee service opportunity and not a separate appointment. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please discuss your interest and availability with your supervisor prior to completing the form below.

Equity and Inclusion Commission Interest Form.

This interest form will remain open through the winter break and close on Friday, January 13, 2023. Candidate statements of interest will be reviewed and evaluated to identify a finalist pool that would broadly represent campus. The list of finalists will be submitted to the President for selection and appointment.

While only two candidates will be selected to serve as at-large members, the commission anticipates having many opportunities open in the future for campus participation and engagement in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion projects and initiatives.
