GET-FIT Passports Now Available

August 25, 2022

The Wellness Center is offering group exercise classes through the GET-FIT Program by purchasing a GET-FIT Passport.

Whether you are a beginner at the gym or you just don’t have a lot of fitness knowledge or you've been going to the gym for years and looking to shake up your routine, group exercise classes may just be your ticket. The GET-FIT Passport classes can help build a strong foundation and provide you with the insight necessary to find what works best for your personal health journey.

There is nothing more contagious than a good mood. Anyone can benefit from the positive influences of others who feel good during group exercise activities.  When a group of people exercises together, it forms a community in which each individual shares the same goals no matter what level of fitness the individual. Participants who exercise in a group are more likely to feel better about themselves and stick with the activity. When they participate with others in an activity, there is a greater sense of accountability to the group and themselves.  With this in mind, individuals will participate better, care more, and work harder when they feel that the group matters to them—and that they matter to the group. They discover their worth and value themselves.

The GET-FIT Passport offers a variety of classes from yoga and Pilates to Zumba and Body Sculpt, and more. For more information, please contact the Wellness Center in Reed Gym at 208-282-2117 or wellness@isu.edu.
