Farewell Party for Tera Cole, Senior Lecturer in English

December 8, 2022

The Department of English and Philosophy is hosting a farewell party for Tera Cole, Senior Lecturer in English, Wednesday, December 14, 3-4:30pm, in the Department’s reading room (Kegel Liberal Arts 244). The Department invites members of the ISU community and others to attend and to sign a card for her. The card will be available in the main office of English and Philosophy (LA 262) until noon on Wednesday, December 14, after which it will be available at the farewell party. As an alternative, expressions of gratitude or well wishes can be sent by noon on December 14 to english@isu.edu, and these will also be shared with her.

Cole earned her M.A. in English from Idaho State in 2010. Shortly after, she was hired as a full-time Lecturer in English. She was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2021. In her time at Idaho State, Cole has taught a wide range of courses in first-year writing, literature, technical writing, business communications, and honors. A dedicated and inspiring instructor, Cole earned a 2019 Idaho State University Master Teacher Award, a highly competitive, university-wide teaching award.

In 2019, Cole and her husband, Bronson, started Barricade, the retro arcade bar located on Center Street in Pocatello. She is leaving her position at ISU to run Barricade full-time.
