Counseling and Testing Services is welcoming Client Care Manager Jessica Sellman to their team.

Sellman began in her new position in July. She is available to help students overcome a diverse array of challenges that may be impeding their efforts to improve their mental health and succeed at ISU.

"Jess brings a vast amount of experience to this position and does a wonderful job of diving in and helping students resolve their concerns,” said Counseling and Testing Services Director, Rick Pongratz.

Sellman earned her bachelor’s degree and Master's of Counseling degree at Idaho State University. She has been working with student populations for the past five years by connecting them with resources, offering workshops, and providing counseling services. She says that working with students individually and helping them discover tools to live their lives in meaningful ways is the most rewarding aspect of her job. She loves watching her students engage in life and connect with others.

In her role as Client Care Coordinator, Sellman also assists students in finding resources such as housing, financial assistance, and community support resources that, once in place, bolster a student's ability to focus on academic pursuits.
