Campus Health Reminders

December 15, 2022

As we come to the end of a successful semester, it is time to provide a quick campus health update. COVID-19, influenza and other respiratory viruses have been increasing across the country and ISU is no exception. There are several things that you can do to stay healthy and help protect those around us who may be vulnerable.

  • Follow CDC guidance based upon exposure and illness.
  • Stay home if you are ill, and get tested.
  • Wear a high-quality mask when appropriate. Masks are available at University Health Center and the COVID Screening Site.
  • Wash hands and cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Stay up to date with your vaccinations and boosters for COVID and influenza.

The COVID screening program on the upper level of University Health Center in Pocatello, as well as the locations in Meridian, and Idaho Falls will be closed Dec. 17- Jan. 2,  and will reopen Jan. 3.

The University Health Center in Pocatello will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec.19 - 23 for testing and other services. They will be closed Dec. 24-30.

Campus contract tracing services will not be available Dec.  24 - Jan. 2 and will resume Jan. 3. Any self-report forms, emails or phone calls will not be monitored during this time. The local health department is available to answer questions about COVID exposure and illness during the holiday break.

We wish you a happy, restful, and healthy holiday break!
