Student Retention Platform’s Infrastructure Update

March 8, 2021

As we move toward the Fall 2021 launch of our Navigate pilot, we want to keep you updated about our progress.

In recent weeks, the ISU technical team has accomplished a great deal, working closely with EAB to establish the data connections necessary to build our student success platform. A huge thank you to those staff members from IT and the Office of the Registrar for their assistance with this critical stage of development! We also have four Navigate engagement (subcommittee) teams of staff and faculty contributing their time and expertise to help design our Navigate workflows and configurations--all of the behind-the-scenes work that will enable us to roll out the Navigate platform smoothly, successfully, and on time.

We realize you may have questions about the Navigate platform. How will the platform actually work? What kind of preparation or training will it require? Will it be integrated with existing systems and resources?  How will I actually use it?

Those answers are coming. Our Executive Director is meeting with college, department, and program representatives. We will be rolling out the platform in a phased approach to ensure each unit is fully supported and prepared in advance of Navigate implementation for their students. We are also developing an ISU Navigate webpage, a space where we can share updates, house training materials and demonstrations, and keep the campus community informed. Watch for more information about this resource.

ISU Navigate can be a student retention game-changer. We are working diligently to ensure that each step of the platform’s development and implementation is carefully and thoughtfully supported. We’ll keep sending monthly updates, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please email the ISU Navigate team at navigate@isu.edu. We want to hear from you!
