Occupational Therapy Program Director Named to Serve on National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Committee on Selected Heritable Connective Tissue Disorders and Disability

Dr. Barbara L. Kornblau, Program Director of ISU's Occupational Therapy Program was recently selected to serve on the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's (NASEM) Committee on Selected Heritable Connective Tissue Disorders and Disability. The formal charge to the committee is to provide an overview of the current status of the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of selected heritable connective tissue disorders, including but not necessarily limited to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and Marfan syndrome, in the U.S. population and the relative levels of functional limitation typically associated with the disorders and their common treatments at the request of the U.S. Social Security Administration
