Intercultural Awareness Workshop Set March 27

March 25, 2021

On March 27 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., University Tutoring and the Intensive English Institute are holding a joint workshop via Zoom on intercultural awareness.

This workshop is free and open to all tutors, faculty and staff on campus who wish to develop best practices to promote and effectively engage issues of race, privilege, power, equity, pluralism and authority in their workplace.

Whether you tutor for the Student Success program, the College of Business, or the College of Technology TAP Center, we want to collaborate with you. In this workshop tutors will learn how culture impacts the tutoring relationship and leave with strategies to maximize inclusion. If you are a GA or TA or early-career faculty member, this workshop will help you learn how to develop intercultural awareness and competence.

For more information email Amanda Espinosa-Aguilar, the Coordinator of University Tutoring, at amandaespinosa@isu.edu or visit our website at https://www.isu.edu/tutoring. Please RSVP on or before noon on 3/26/2021 to receive the Zoom link for the workshop.
