Idaho State Mourns the Loss of Ken Williams

July 6, 2021

The Bengal community is mourning the loss of Ken Williams, a senior maintenance craftsman at Holt Arena, who passed away Saturday, June 26.

George Casper, Ken’s supervisor, said Ken will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

“He had a big personality, was witty, very kind hearted and was always telling jokes.  He always gave his best effort and took great pride in working for the University,” Casper said. “He especially looked forward to his  interactions with our student athletes and he made sure that their needs were always met.  He will be truly missed and will forever be a Bengal.”

Flowers and condolences can be sent to Ken’s sister, Betty Vasquez, 4200 Philbin Road  #6, Pocatello, ID  83202.

The news of Ken’s passing may come as a shock, and it can be difficult to process. The ISU Counseling and Testing Center has put together a resource guide to help those coping with this loss. To receive additional mental health support in dealing with this loss, please remember that all benefit-eligible employees have up to five free counseling sessions during each benefit year through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
