Gender Resource Center to Sponsor Red Sand Project

March 25, 2021

The Gender Resource Center is inviting everyone to participate in The Red Sand Project - Human Trafficking Art Installation April 5-30.

Red Sand Project is a participatory artwork that raises awareness about vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking and exploitation. Participants will receive red sand and a toolkit, and are invited to fill sidewalk cracks with red sand and document their  sidewalk transformations on social media using #RedSandProjectISU2021 to recognize those who are overlooked and most at-risk of spending their lives being exploited for the profit of others. Since the project’s launch in 2014, sidewalk interventions and convenings have taken place in cities across the United States and throughout the world.

To register, visit https://forms.gle/yzuU86XJAo7vin3Y9. To get your kit, contact the Gender Resource Center at 208-282-3590.
