All Diagnostic Medical Sonography Pass Licensing Exam on First Attempt

March 25, 2021

Sonography students

All students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program passed their national physics board exam on the first attempt this spring. The average national first-time pass rate for the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation Exam for the past two years is 73 percent.

Most students in other sonography programs take the exam after they finish their program; at ISU students take the exam while still in the program. Chelsie Wheatley is the sole teacher in the program.
