ROARing Remotely May 4

May 4, 2020

This week’s ROARing Remotely tip comes from ISU Libraries: Birding in your backyard.

Use the Idaho Birding Trail website to find bird species of Southeast Idaho. Then look up specific birds on Birds of the World database available through ISU Libraries. Note that you’ll need to enter your Bengal ID and your last name for access.

Explore Birds of the World, which includes information on more than 10,000 bird species, taxonomy, intelligent maps, eBird observations, photographs/illustrations, and audio recordings of songs, calls and non-vocal sounds. This resource is fun for beginning backyard birders and is information-rich for researchers.

ISU Libraries remains open online to support students, faculty and staff.
