1,000 paper cranes- an Idaho State University mental health awareness project

January 9, 2020

Counseling and Testing Service will be sponsoring a semester long Mental Health Awareness Project. Japanese folklore says that the crane lives to be 1,000 years old. Their tradition says if you fold 1,000 origami cranes your hope/wish/prayer will be granted. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, please join us by folding a crane to add to an installation that will be displayed in May.

Counseling and Testing Service will be hosting several tabling events wherein students, faculty and staff are invited to fold an origami crane and donate their crane to the community art project. The installation will be a symbol of community, hope, and help.

Our first tabling event will be Thursday, Jan 16 from 12:30-3 p.m. in the Pond Student Union, across from Einstein's Bagels.
