English Professors Present Papers and Win Awards

Dr. Evan Rodriguez, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, presented his paper "Aristotle's Platonic Response to the Problem of First Principles" at the American Philosophical Association (Pacific Division) meeting in Vancouver, BC last week.

Dr. Robert Watkins’, Assistant Professor of English, short story “The Little Girl and the Universe Tool” recently won Baltimore Review’s pop-up contest and can be read on their website (http://baltimorereview.org/index.php/winter_2019/contributor/robert-watkins). Rob also recently presented his paper "Drawing Scholarship: Producing Comics Without Neglecting Reading Comics” at the International Comics Art Forum Conference in Davenport, Iowa. 

Lisa Smith’s, Adjunct Instructor in English, essay "Almost Twelve" was just named as a finalist for the Frank McCourt Creative Nonfiction Prize through The Southhampton Review.
