Come Celebrate 20 years of KISU at Birthday Party June 24

June 13, 2019

POCATELLO – All are invited to come and celebrate 20 years of KISU FM radio at a birthday party and reception Monday, June 24, from 1-4 p.m. in the Quad Lounge at Idaho State University’s Pond Student Union.

The party also offers a chance to congratulate general manager Jerry Miller on his retirement from the station after nearly 20 years of service.

Miller came to KISU in November 1999, just five months after the station went on the air. In its beginnings, the station operated with just 400 watts of power. Today, KISU broadcasts with more than 4,000 watts of power, translators in Idaho Falls and Rexburg, reaching nearly a quarter of a million potential listeners.

Although he is retiring from the station, Miller will remain the “Voice of the Bengals,” offering radio play-by-play for Bengal football and men’s basketball.
