Join us for Winter Commencement

December 9, 2019

We hope you will be joining us this Saturday, December 14, at Idaho State University's first winter commencement ceremony, beginning at 11 a.m.. We have over 250 excited students who will be crossing the stage.

Staff Volunteers Still Needed
Due to uncontrollable circumstances, we have a few volunteers who are now unable to attend, and are in need of replacements. If you would like to volunteer and have not yet received an assignment, please contact Allyson Johnson at johnally@isu.edu or 208-282-4798.

Remember, if you wish to volunteer for this event, please coordinate with your supervisor prior to signing up. Classified staff will be compensated for time worked during commencement, and must coordinate with their supervisors to determine whether this time will be managed as work hour adjustments, compensatory time, or paid overtime.

Faculty Information
If you are participating in the ceremony as a faculty member, please arrive by 10:30 a.m. and come to the southwest corner of the turf (not the hallway as in years past). Commencement volunteers will be available to assist you with line-up and to cue you for the processional.

In a continued effort to enhance faculty members' roles in commencement, faculty will be directed to line the main center aisle for the student recessional. Again, volunteers will be there to assist and guide you.

If you ordered regalia, please make sure to pick it up at the ISU Bookstore before Saturday. The Bookstore will be available following the conclusion of the ceremony near the southwest ramp to collect your regalia, or you may return it the following week.

We invite you to join our graduates and their families at the reception on the turf immediately following the ceremony.

Thank you for all you do for our students. For additional information regarding this year’s Commencement, please go to www.isu.edu/commencement
