ISU Leadership Development and Big Momma’s House to host “Educating Ourselves about Homelessness” events

POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s Leadership Development Class of 2019 and Big Momma’s House will host Educating Ourselves about Homelessness events Oct. 29 – Nov. 2 at Idaho State University.

Event times are as follows: Oct. 29, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Pond Student Union: Meet Big Momma, Pastor Jacqualine Thomas, and hear about her experience with homelessness. Meet her dedicated staff and hear why they have chosen to invest their time, efforts and emotional energy to this cause.Oct. 30, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Rendezvous Complex: Students have another opportunity to meet with Thomas and hear about her experience with homelessness, meet her staff and hear why they have chosen to invent their time, efforts and emotional energy to this cause.Nov. 2, Noon, ICCU Practice Field: Idaho Central Credit Union and the ISU Leadership Development Class of 2019 will join Big Momma’s House for a tailgating event. For a small donation, students can buy a Big Momma’s House shirt or a “hope” bracelet.

The entire ISU campus is also invited to wear crazy hats on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 to draw attention to the vital role that Big Momma’s House can fill in the Pocatello community.
