Educating Ourselves About Homelessness Events

October 28, 2019

The ISU Leadership Development Class of 2019 is partnering with Big Momma’s House to educate the campus community about homelessness in our area. Please join us as we educate ourselves about homelessness and fight the stigmas surrounding it. Drop by the Pond Student Union Building, 2nd floor, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 29, or the Rendezvous Building, 1st floor, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Meet Big Momma (Pastor Jacqualine Thomas) and hear about her own experience with homelessness. Meet her dedicated staff and hear why they have chosen to invest their time, efforts and emotional energy into this cause.

Campus-wide, all are invited to wear a crazy hat on Oct. 29 and 30. Draw attention to yourself, and in doing so, you can draw attention to the vital role that Big Momma’s House can fill in our community.
Idaho Central Credit Union and the ISU Leadership Development Class of 2019 will also be joining Big Momma’s House for a tailgating event on Saturday, Nov. 2, before ISU defeats Northern Colorado. For a small donation, you can sport a Big Momma’s House T-shirt or ae “hope” bracelet, or simply come and enjoy a warm beverage and the comradery we share as we focus on something bigger than ourselves.
