Blue Cross of Idaho Walktober Step Challenge

With the temperatures starting to cool down, getting out and walking is a great way to increase your activity and energy! Employees enrolled in the medical plan can join the Walktober challenge and see what a difference a couple weeks can make. The goal for participants is to log at least 50,000 steps each week during October. This  4-week online walking challenge starts Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Participants who log at least 50,000 steps each week for four weeks (29 days total) will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win a Fitbit Inspire.

To register, visit, log in to your account and select the WellConnected logo. Registration will be accepted through Oct. 4. 

Tips to increase your step count each day:

Hold walking meetings
Walk on breaks/lunch with coworkers
Walk over to a coworker instead of an email reply
