American Public Health Association president to speak at ISU Oct. 4

MERIDIAN – Dr. Pamela Aaltonen, the president of the American Public Health Association, will speak Oct. 4, noon to 1:30 p.m., in Room 508 of the Sam and Aline Skaggs Health Science Center at Idaho State University-Meridian, 1311 E. Central Drive. 

The presentation will be teleconferenced to Room L16 of the ISU Oboler Library in Pocatello at the same time. 
 
She will address current trends in public health as part of her visit to Idaho through the Idaho Public Health Association. Aaltonen has extensive experience in public health nursing, disaster preparedness, interdisciplinary education and working with local boards of health. 
 
Her lecture is free.
