POCATELLO -- Idaho State University’s Department of Art will hold its fifth annual Art a la Carte event on Feb. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. to help raise money for student scholarships and visiting artists.
The event includes a $7 chili dinner and silent art auction. The main event includes a silent auction, where guests can bid on art made by students, faculty and alumni. Auction items include jewelry, ceramics, prints, sculptures, paintings and wearables.
There will also be art demonstrations going on in studios, as well as a children's art activity. This year, students, faculty and alumni have created a special coloring book that will also be for sale the week of the event.
The event will be held in ISU’s Fine Arts Building on the fourth floor. Attending the silent auction and open studios is free. Bids will be accepted all week at the preview exhibition from Feb. 12-15 in the compARTment gallery.
