Idaho State University Africa Night 2015 set Jan. 24 at Stephens Center

Southeast Idaho residents and guests will again be able to enjoy the food and culture of the African continent at Idaho State University Africa Night 2015 on Jan. 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

This year’s theme is “Shades of African Beauty.”

The celebration includes a dinner. a fashion show, skits and other performances. Food served will include peanut butter soup, dorowat (chicken in red pepper paste), jollof rice (rice, tomatoes and tomato paste, onions and red pepper), njema njema (spinach stew) and mokimo (potatoes with mixed vegetables).

Ticket prices are $9 for the public, $8 for ISU faculty and staff, $7 for ISU students and free for kids under 5.

Tickets are on sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays in the Rendezvous Complex and the Pond Student Union. Tickets are $1 more at the door.
