Sellers, of Pocatello, has pursued her degree in art along with her teacher certificate in secondary education. She will graduate in spring 2016.

Sellers currently teaches fine art classes at the Leavitt Center. “Persistence of Nature” consists of works completed during Sellers’ time of study at ISU. Pieces vary in landscapes painted in acrylics.

“When I look at these pieces, they take me back to that location,” Sellers said. “They elicit memories of being there. I understand that my viewers don’t share the same memories as mine. Some might be reminded of similar experiences of being at such places. Some might not. Some may have never been to where landscaping makes such an impression on me, but if I could inspire those people, they might desire to create such memories.”
