ISU Marketing and Communications

POCATELLO – The Idaho State University Japanese Club will present its annual Japan Night at 6 p.m. Nov.14 in the ISU Pond Student Union Ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

This year’s event features authentic food cooked by the ISU Japanese faculty and students.

Entertainment to follow will feature popular songs arranged for choir with piano. All the lyrics will be explained in English on large displays on both sides of the stage.

There will be performances by several Japanese traditional martial artists, along with traditional and modern Japanese dances. The Taiko Team, from Idaho Falls, will also perform on big traditional drums.

During the event, Japanese goods will be available at a club shop and a silent auction of goods and services donated by local businesses will be available.

Tickets for Japan Night are available in the Pond Student Union from noon to 1 p.m. through Nov. 12. They may also be purchased directly from Japanese Club students. Tickets can be purchased the night of the event, but they will cost one dollar more at the door.

The event is open to everyone. Ticket prices are $9 for general public, and ISU faculty and staff; and $7 for students. Children under 5 are free.
