Idaho State University to present entrepreneur Sarah Calhoun Nov. 18 as part of Wells Fargo Speaker Series

Idaho State University will host the Wells Fargo Speaker Series to present entrepreneur Sarah Calhoun in the Pond Student Union Ballroom on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m.

In 2006, Calhoun founded a clothing store called Red Ants Pants. The company was designed to create clothing that would better fit working women. Since founding Red Ants Pants, Calhoun has started the Red Ants Pants Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting women’s leadership.

Calhoun has also put on the first Red Ants Pants Music Festival in 2011, where 6,000 people attended. She was the 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year for the State of Montana. She was also the 2012 National Women in Business Champion for the Small Business Association.

This event is free for ISU students. The cost for faculty, staff and public is $5.

The ISU sponsors for this event include the College of Business, the Student Activities Board and the Economics Club.
