Idaho State University Humanities Cafe set Oct. 2

Idaho State University’s Department of English and Philosophy will hold it’s Humanities Cafe “Politics: Performance and Resistance” on Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Portneuf Valley Brewery.

Activities at the Humanities Cafe include a scene from the “Richard III” presented by the Theatre Department and speakers Norm Schroder, Theatre, Jeffery Callen, political science and Jacob Claflin, English.

The event is free and open to the public. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the program will start at 6 p.m. The Portneuf Valley Brewery is located at 615 S. First Ave.

Other Humanities Cafe events include “Revolutions in Creativity” in November, “Sexual Revolutions” in February and “Religious Revolutions” in March.

The presenters will be Norm Schroder, Ph.D., Professor of Theatre; Jacob Claflin, Ph.D. candidate, English; and Jeffrey Callen, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Political Science.
